It all started in 1995 when the family cat pushed my fiddle off my chest of drawers and knocked out the sound post.

I took it to a luthier named Jerry Weene in Waltham, MA. After he repaired the fiddle, he invited me to his rehearsals in his shop at Moody Street. He was playing contra dance tunes from the Canterbury Country Dance Orchestra, although I didn’t know it at the time. But I was hooked on contra dance tunes from that point on.

I have played with Roaring Jelly, the No Name Fiddle Band, the Scottish Fiddle Club, and the Fitchburg Community Orchestra. I first sat in with the Contra Banditos in May 2017.
Since then, the dances have been so much fun, I just keep coming back.
