Tinwhistle, Irish flute, bodhran, and singing
Aisling has been playing tinwhistle, Irish flute,bodhran and singing with the Contra Banditos for the past 3 years. She really enjoys the fun of playing music in the kitchen, the dance hall, festivals and parties and the opportunity to play a variety of styles of music with friends.
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, her greatest love is Irish music. She enjoys playing Irish music at the local pub and in January 2006 recorded a CD with her band “Celtic Vision.”
She is currently organizing a traditional Irish music session (www.thegrotonsession.com) at the Stage Coach Inn, Groton on Wednesday nights and a monthly Irish music workshop series with well known local Fiddler Laurel Martin.
In her spare time she enjoys organizing musical events, summers in Ireland with family, Irish dancing and most of all time spent with her 3 children and her supportive husband, Todd, who without him all this would not be possible!
